There's two things Aruba is hugely famous for, it's Divi-Divi tree (shown in center) and it's amazing sunsets. From bright orange to hot pinks, the sunsets are both mesmerizing and unforgettable all year long. There's no better way to end the day and start the evening than experiencing the sunset... night after glorious night.
Be sure to plan sunset walks on the beach, or pack a beach chair and bottle of wine for a beautiful sunset show, or just bob in the water with a cold beer and watch the sunset from the surf. Aruba is as world renowned for it's fine dining as it is for its fun. Try the Bugaloe Pier bar for live music at night or a sunset dinner. Pier bars dot the coastline, but Bugaloe is our favorite. Good food, great music and a friendly, attentive staff make for a great time.

The best way to see the island is by ATV or UTV (2-seater). Cruise around the California lighthouse and down the northeastern shore to the Gold Mine Ruins, the Alto Visa Chapel, the Peace Labrynth and the ostrich farm.
You can cruise the sand dunes, the mud flats, the private coves and beaches, and even make a stone statue (shown in center), which represents peace and tranquility. Thousands of them line the eastern coastline.
There are several natural bridges to see in Aruba, despite rumors of a collapse. There's also the natural pool, which for the adventurous is a great place to swim and even snorkel.
Catch a great view from Alto Vista. Accessible by car or ATV, this historic church is open to the public. Aruba is steeped in history that is often overshadowed by tourist hot-spots and adventure.
1/5 of Aruba is designated as Arikok National Park. A beautiful landscape nestled along the eastern shores of the Caribbean island. It's tropical locale belies the desert environment, which is often lush and green. It is always teaming with wildlife, various genus of cacti and panoramic views that seem endless.
The Ayo rock formations, along with caves throughout the park represent only a small sample of the natural wonders that make up Aruba. The park's wild donkey's, goats, iguana and abundant bird population gives life to this part of the desert island that has gone unchanged for thousands of years.
The Quadirikiri, Fontein and Huliba caves are located in Arikok National Park. Here you will still find ancient cave drawings by the Arawak Indians. They are also home to bats, which are harmless and are quite used to visitors. Arikok is accessible by car or ATV.
Arikok is more than just a park, itÂ’s also a beach! Diamari Beach, Dos Playa and Boca Prins all call Arikok home. Although they are not the most popular beaches in Aruba due to their remote locations and rough surf, the beaches represent unspoiled beauty and are quite remarkable.
From Aruba's Burrowing Owl, known as Shoco, to the magnificent Trupial with it's tangerine breast, black and white feathered wings and distinctive chirp, there is no shortgage of wildlife throughout Aruba. It's common to see goats grazing on thorny roadside thickets or up on the rocks in Arikok Park. Don't just come to Aruba for the beaches, come for the wildlife.
It's quite common to see the green iguana, a harmless vegeterian grazing in a grassy patch or a humming bird nipping at a cactus, or a green parrot in song as it flies by, or a blue whiptail lizard grubbing for a handout. Not so common is the occassional turtle hatch and/or release on Eagle Beach, home to protected leatherback turtle nesting sites.
